CODES OF CONDUCT FOR TEAM OFFICIALS

 

Obligations towards the game.

Team officials should at all times:

  1. Set a positive example for others, particularly to young players and supporters.
  2. Promote and develop his/her own team having regard to the intrest of the players, supporters and reputation of the national game.
  3. Share Knowledge & experiance when invited to do so, taking into account the interest of the body that has requestered this rather than personal interests.
  4. Avoid all forms of gamesmanship.
  5. Show due respect to match officials and others involved in the game.
  6. Always have regard for the best interest of the game, including where publicly expressing an opinion of the game and any particular aspect of it , including others involved in the game.
  7. Not use or tolerate inappropriate language.

Obligations towards the team.

The team official should at all times:

  1. Make every effort to develop the sporting, technical & tactical levels of the club/team, and to obtain the best results for the team, using all permitted means.
  2. Give priority to the interests of the team over individual interests.
  3. Resist all illegal or unsporting influences, including banned substances and techniques.
  4. Promote ethical pricibles.
  5. Show due respect for the interests of the players,coaches and officials, their own team/club and others.

Obligations towards supporters.

The team officials should at all times:

  1.  Show due respect for the interests of all supporters

Respect towards match officials.

A team official should at all times:

  1. Accept the decisions of the match officials without protest.
  2. Avoid words or actions which may mislead a match official.

The Responsible Coach/Manager Code Of Conduct

  1. Coach/Managers must respect the rights and worth of each and every player and treat each equally within the context of the sport.
  2. Coach/Managers must place the well-being and safety of each player above all other considerations, including the development of performance.
  3. Coach/Managers must adhere to all guidelines laid down within the constitution and the rules of the Football Association.
  4. Coach/Managers must develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual trust and respect.
  5. Coach/Managers must not exert undue influance to obtain personal benefit or reward.
  6. Coach/Managers must encourage and guide players to accept respocorbility for thier own behaviour and performance.
  7. Coach/Managers must ensure that the activities they direct or advocate are appropriate for the age, maturity, experiance and ability of each player.
  8. Coach/Managers should, at the outset, clarify with the players (and where appropriat their parents) exactly what is expected of them and also what they are entitled to  expect from their coach/manager.
  9. Coach/Managers must co-operate fully with other specialists (e.g other coaches officials, sports scientists, doctors and phyisotherapists) in the best interests of the players.
  10. Coach/Managers must always promote the appropriat Code Of Conduct and positive aspect of the sport(e.g fair play) to players, parents and spectators alike. Never condone violations of the laws of the game, behaviour contray to the spirit of the laws of the game or relevant rules and regulations or the use of prohibited substances or techniques.
  11. Coach/Managers must consistantly display high standards of behaviour and experiance and be a role model for players, parents and spectators.

Code Of Conduct For Players.

PLEASE ABIDE BY THE PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT.

A PLAYER SHOULD ALWAYS:

  1. Make every effort to develop their own sporting abilities, in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina.
  2. Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game, even if his or her team is in a position where the desired result has already been achieved.
  3. Set a positive example for others, particuarly younger players and supporters.
  4. Avoid all forms of gamemanship and time-wasting.
  5. Never use inappropriate language.
  6. Make every effort consistant with Fair Play and the Laws Of The Game to help his or her team win.
  7. Know and abide by the Laws, rules and spirit of the game and compertition rules.
  8. Accept Success and Failure, Victory and Defeat equally.
  9. Treat opponentes with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of any game.
  10. Safeguard the physical fitness of all opponentes, avoid violance and rough play and always help an injured player.
  11. Accept the decision of match officials without protest.
  12. Avoid word and actions which may mislead a match official.
  13. Always show due respect towards mach officials, club management and coaching staff.
  14. Abide by the instructions of their coach, team officials, provided they do not contadict the spirit of this code.
  15. Always show due respect to the Players, Teams Officials and Supporters of the opposition.
  16. Players must always display high standards of behaviour

Child Protection Policy

Policy Statement.

Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. is committed to ensuring that the safety, welfare and well being of children are maintained at all times during their participation in activities run by the club. Netherfield Boys/Girls FC aims to promote a safe environment for all children and to assist all staff, officials, coaches, members and volunteers to recognise child abuse and neglect and follow the appropriate notification procedures when reporting alleged abuse.

Rationale.

The focus of the policy and guidelines is the prevention of child abuse in the sporting environment.

This policy and guidelines promote the care and protection of children participating in club activities and provide information and direction for employees, officials, coaches, volunteers and members of the organisation.

 

Netherfield Boys/Girls FC acknowledges that issues regarding child abuse and the reporting of allegations of child abuse are highly sensitive, and should be dealt with in a confidential manner.

 

Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. Has developed these notification procedures to ensure that confidentiality is maintained throughout the process and that consistent procedures for reporting are encouraged.

 

Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. will be proactive in its role to protect children and encourage an open environment that allows employees and members to be aware of their rights and responsibilities within the organisation

To deal appropriately with these issues and to ensure that the confidentiality of all parties involved is maintained, the following persons within the club will be designated as the child protection officers.

Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. also abide by the Football Associations Child Protection Policies. All staff who have close contact with children hold Child Protection Certificates and agree to undertake updated workshops every 3 years.

PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

         THE RESPONSIBLE PARENT’S CODE OF CONDUCT FOR FOOTBALL

 

  1. Parents must appreciate their child’s involvement in playing football should be primarily for his/her own personal enjoyment.

 

  1. Parents must respect the rights, dignity and worth of each and every person and treat each equally within

the context of the sport. Praise positive aspects of play and avoid becoming frustrated or ridiculing young players by focusing on their failings.

 

      3.   Parents must place the well-being and safety of each player above all other considerations, including the             

       development of performance.

 

4.   Parents must adhere to all guidelines laid down within the Constitution and the Rules of The Football

            Association.

 

  1. Parents must develop an appropriate supportive relationship with both the Coach and their child based

on mutual trust and respect.

 

  1. Parents must not exert undue influence to obtain personal benefit or reward.

 

      7.    Parents must encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and   

             performance.

 

8.      Parents should, at the outset and where appropriate, seek clarification with the coach and players,

exactly what is expected of them and also what they are entitled to expect from their coach and players.
