WELCOME TO THE FA CHARTER STANDARD DEVELOPMENT CLUB OF THE YEAR 06/07

CRB Checks.

To keep in line with changing Child Protection Policies, Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. are to do CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Checks on all staff members who have close contact with children.

The club will ensure that ALL EXISTING AND NEW STAFF have enhanced checks done. With the checks inplace and our own Rules, Regulations and Codes Of Conduct this will make the club a more safer place for you to send your children.

We will be starting the CRB checks  from February 04 and by September 04 all staff will have been screened. If you would like any more information on CRB checks please contact the clubs CRB Designated Officer.

Policy on the recruitment of ex offenders.

POLICY STATEMENT FOR NETHERFIELD BOYS/GIRLS F.C.

Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. CRB Officer will treat any applicant for any position (paid or voluntary) within the club fairly and not discriminate unfairly against the subject of a disclosure on the basis of conviction or other information revealed.

We will request a enhanced disclosure only where it is necessary and relevant to the position applied for.

Where a position requires a disclosure we will make this clear on the Job/Role description and any other information provided about the Job/Role.

At the interview level, we will ensure that open and measured discussions can take place on the subject of offences.

Failure to reveal information at interview, that is directly relevent to the position sought, could lead to withdrawal of a offer of employment/voluntary position.

At interview or when receiving a disclosure which showes a conviction, we will take into consideration:

  1. Whether the conviction is relevent to the position applied for.
  2. The seriousness of the offence which is revealed.
  3. The length of time since the offence took place.
  4. Whether the applicant has a pattern of offending behaviour.
  5. Whether the applicant's circumstances have changed since the offending took place.

Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. CRB Officer will ensure that all new members (staff/volunteers) involved in the recruitment process are aware of this policy and have received relevent training & support.

Any applicant for any post that requires a disclosure may receive a copy of this policy.

Policy On The Secure Handling,Use, Storage And Retention Of Disclosure Information.

POLICY STATEMENT FOR NETHERFIELD BOYS/GIRLS F.C.

In accordance with the Criminal Records Bureuax's Code Of Practice, for registered persons and other recipitents of Disclosure Information, Netherfield Boys/Girls F.C. CRB Officer will ensure the following practice.

  • Disclosures will only be requestered when necessary and when relevent to a particular post and the information provided on a disclosure certificate will only be used for recruitment purposes.
  • The CRB Officer will ensure that an individual's consent is given before seeking a disclosure and will seek consent before using disclosure information for any other purpose other than recruitment.
  • Disclosure information will only be shared with those authorised to see it in the course of their duties.
  • Where additional disclosure information is provided to our designated signortory and not to the disclosure applicant, our designated signatory will not disclose this information to the applicant, but will inform them of the fact that additional information has been provided, should this information affect the recruitment decision.
  • Disclosure information will be stored in a locked no-portable container, for the maximum of 6 months. Only those authorised to see this information in the course of their duties will have access to this container.
  • Disclosure information will be destroyed by Shredding only.
  • No image or photocopy of the disclosure information will be made, however the following details may be retained:

a)            Date of issue of disclosure.

b)            Name of subject.

c)            Disclosure type.

d)            Position for which disclosure was requestered.

e)            Unique reference number of disclosure.

f)            Recruitment desision taken.

  • We will ensure that all staff with access to disclosure information are aware or this policy and have received  relevent training and support..
